Mars, the world's only magazine on contemporary art and the colonization of space.
Mars magazine was a quarterly swedish fanzine in swedish and english that I started and ran 2002-2005. It made its first appearance at Kulturhuset After Shopping, and during its brief existance it featured contributions from some of the most important young swedish contemporary artists. DIY and relational aesthetics were important parts of the idea, and with Mars I could make events where the readers could make their own collage pages for the next issue at a club night, or contribute to a paper model mini-artfair at a booth at the artfair. Mars appeared at the Stockholm artfair, the Book and Library fair in Gothenburg, and received support from the National Council for the Arts.
